Ropes Course: Everything You Need to Know

Have you thought about visiting a ropes challenge course, but you’re just not sure what you should expect? We don’t blame you. Climb Vegas is the tallest indoor ropes course in Las Vegas with 3 levels of challenges— we’d want to do some research too! Luckily for you, we’re proactive and we knew you would have some questions. So we put together a quick little guide that answers all of your questions so that have everything you need to know about a ropes course!

A Ropes Course Is Completely Safe

First things first, SAFETY… first. An indoor course is safe as can be. Each individual is secured with a harness that is attached to a rail above you. This way if you take a step in the wrong direction and you fall, you will not go very far. In fact, you will dangle there in a position that allows you to place your foot back on a level surface so that you can continue.

We do have a few requirements that will make your experience at Climb Vegas a fun and safe adventure!

• Always wear closed-toe shoes
• Wear comfortable and appropriate clothing
• Must be 48” or taller unless you are accompanied by an adult
• Safely store your personal belongings before climbing

You Don’t Have to Be an Expert Climber

The best part about Climb Vegas indoor ropes course is that you don’t have to be an expert rock climber to have fun. Ropes courses are fun and challenging for climbers of all ages. Children and Adult climbers will find that each element poses a unique challenge that makes it fun for the whole family. Young and inexperienced climbers often have the easiest time taking on ropes courses because they have the self-confidence to take on even the most extreme ropes course elements.

Ropes Courses Are Good for Building Confidence

If you need some help building up confidence (either for yourself or for a building team morale) then an indoor ropes course is the perfect solution. Mastering an indoor ropes course requires you to use certain traits that develop self-confidence and team confidence.

For your self-confidence, you will learn to believe and trust in yourself to take each step.
For team building, there is that element of building up confidence, but there is an added layer of encouragement and communication that helps teams grow together.

Facing Your Fear of Heights Has Never Been This Fun

While you’re busy having fun at an indoor ropes course, you will also get the opportunity to face your fear of heights in a safe and controlled environment. With the sense of security that you get from being safely harnessed in, you will be able to roam around the ropes course without the risk of falling. This exposure to heights will make you feel more comfortable with the idea of high places and slowly but surely you will outgrow that acrophobia.
