Adventure Course 101: Personal Growth

You’ve probably heard about all of the great reasons to visit an adventure course like Climb Vegas indoor ropes course! For starters, a ropes course is a fun activity for a family outing or planning a date with that special someone in your life. But by far, one of the most popular reasons why people love to visit adventure courses is for the personal growth aspect! While Climb Vegas doesn’t explicitly provide personal growth training or anything like that, there is something about challenging your fear of heights that is appealing to that crowd. If you’re interested in visiting Climb Vegas adventure courses for the sake of personal growth and for the challenge of taking on your fear of heights, then you will want to keep these basics in mind.

Prepare Yourself for Climbing and Being Active

Any time you are doing something that may make you nervous or anxious such as taking on your fear of heights, it’s essential to prepare yourself mentally and physically. Step 1: Dress for the part. Wear something comfortable that you can move around in, wear the right shoes, and come ready to be active! Step 2: Prepare yourself mentally. Remind yourself that when you visit Climb Vegas, you will be safely harnessed into the attraction, and there is no way that you can fall. You literally can’t mess up, so what is there to be worried about?

Take Each Element Slowly

Once you’ve arrived at climb vegas and you’ve been placed into your harness, you can start crossing rope bridges, balance beams, and each of the other 17 course elements that we feature. This can be daunting, but it’s important to remember to take things slowly. There’s no need to rush through every single element, especially if you are working up the nerve to take the first step off of the platform and onto the course.

Visualize Yourself Doing It

When you are feeling nervous, anxious, or shaky it can make it really hard to keep your balance while you go through the Climb Vegas ropes course. Trust me, we’ve all been there! It helps to visualize yourself walking across the balance beams or tight ropes with ease. Run the image through your mind a few times to build up confidence and then do it. Tackle the element with as much confidence as you’ve just envisioned.

Remember to Breathe

By far the most important thing to remember about attending an adventure course with the intention of building yourself up is to take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are there to have fun. It can be easy to forget that you’re doing something for the fun of doing it and that you don’t need to make things hard on yourself. Have fun and enjoy all 17 elements and 3 towering levels of Climb Vegas!
